FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS ABDUCTIONS OF IDPS IN BORNO AND SCHOOLCHILDREN IN KADUNA:

Focus on security matters

The Federal Government strongly condemned the recent abductions in Wurge Community, Borno, involving Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs), and the kidnapping of schoolchildren in Kuriga Community, Kaduna State. According to a security source, the victims were abducted while fetching firewood from the bush. 
The government expressed its determination to free the victims and bring the assailants to justice. 

President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to ensure the swift return of all abducted persons and the arrest of perpetrators.

Government Vows To Free Victims And Bring Assailants To Justice:
Addressing the recent abductions, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, described the acts as utterly unacceptable and against all fundamental values of humanity. The government stands resolutely against any form of violence or coercion targeted at innocent civilians, especially the most vulnerable. President Bola Tinubu, extending heartfelt sympathies to affected families, has directed security agencies to ensure the safe return of all abducted persons and the arrest of perpetrators. The government reiterates its commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens and pledges to work tirelessly to degrade the capacity of criminals to launch attacks.
